.avi's, .mpg's.. and WMP..

Ok, I've downloaded a few mpg's off Morpheus because I got an itch to watch some of the old Celebrity Jeopardy with Sean Connery on SNL.. now I've downloaded one of 'em twice, same file, different name, same size. So I figure it's not been corrupted. But Windows media player claims it "Can't playback file: unsupported file format." Need a new codec perhaps? Well it doesn't try to DL one, perhaps you know of a better movie player that could work ?

See if it loads up in VirtualDub. I've had some videos that give me some chunk size error in that so I guess they're just messed up. If the file isn't completely then VDub will play what you have.

What extension is it exactly? .mpg (vcd or mpg1/2) can play without the full video. .avi (likely divx) needs the full to play unless you used Vdub. Not sure about one encoded with the windows media codec.

Oh and most of the crap on Morpheus is incomplete and messed up. People on there are so dumb. They have the wrong names to songs and videos and stuff. I like all my media named nicely and with correct titles and pimped id3 tags on every mp3!

That damn divx 4.01 codec freezes my computer all the time. I got a clip encoded in it and I want to view it but I can't cause I had to go back to 3.11 alpha.

Go here and download the BSPlayer.
