the look good on some people not on others. For example, they look absolutely retarded on me, but my brother can put it off wonderfully.

Yes, they're "cool." They've been back for a few years now. However, the styles of today vary slightly from the military-inspired styles of the 80s. Today, the frames are smaller, more curvey.

As others have mentioned, aviators don't look good on everybody, but every pair is different. There's no need to spend a fortune, either. I bought mine last summer for $25 in a hardware store and they look every bit as expensive as designer jobs.

Check this out.

They still sell the classic military sunglasses that pilots use. Two companies make basically identical ones, American Optics (which supposedly made the ones in the 50s) and some other company which makes the ones pilots use today.

Ray-Ban has a "New Aviator" design that I think looks neat. I'm gonna check it out today.

I'd wear them because they are not worn by very many people.

I am sure they are better than the ones I wear now.

a few of the members of my softball team used to wear them to intimidate the other teams with our white trashidness. we also wore t-shirts with the sleeves ripped off, which complimented our farmer tans very nicely.

but...alas...we are just wannabe hicks, we all work in the land of cubicles.

Most frames look good on some people, awful on others. Hard call without specific face in mind.

I think that should be somebody's custom avatar ;)

I'm down.

But your collar's not :D

How's this? I tried to get it around the same size (about 56 high).

EDIT: Here, I tried to get some color onto the face. I used the same flesh tone as my avatar. It's not great as I only used MSPaint, and I messed up the left side some, but it's a start.
