avi to dvd

I have burnt all the of fist season of the office onto 2 dvds, they were all avi. When i play them on my comp, the sound is perfect. But when i burn them onto a dvd about most of the episodes half way through the sound is a half a sec off. Dunno if its because im changing the priority or its the way im burning them using nero 7. let me know if its me or just somthing is not working right.

Audio / video syncronization issues. Welcome to a world of pain. And to be technical, it's the video that is out of sync, not the sound.

Without really seeing what the files are for you, I'd guess that the .avi files are like 29.96fps instead of the dvd standard of 29.97fps. I would grab the free TMPGEnc software here and use that to convert the .avi files to the proper dvd mpeg2 formatting.

Tanks, I have dl and started to convert, hopefully im doing this right. I should still use nero to burn correct, dunno if there is a better app out there.

Nero 7 should be fine. I've been hearing good things about it. A lot of conversion apps even come with instructions on how to burn the converted movie file or whatever with Nero. which reminds me....*runs to store to buy copy*. I'm still using Nero 6 somethin'.

Wait, are you just burning the straight .avi files onto a dvd, or are you trying to make a dvd video that can be played in a dvd player?
