Hey ladies,

I have a coupole AVI movies and i want to burn them on a DVD, so that i can watch them of course on my own dvd player.

Whats the best software for me to do that?

.

I use Nero Vision Express for this.

It is completely drag and drop. You can even make your own custom menu.

Why burn them on DVD? If you want to watch pirated movies, just watch them on the computer or use TV out.

Because not everyone has a huge hard drive and some stuff takes up tons of room. I have over 500 GBs worth of fan subbed anime for example. So making some room to download more fan subbed anime for me is a good thing. By the way, it's prefectly legal and even encourage to download fan subbed anime that is not licensed.

off the top of my head im not sure, but search betanews.com beacuse i ALWAYS see tools like that getting updated and some are rated quite highly iirc...

afaik fansubbed anime that is not licensed in the US is legal to download. Most fansubs are from series that haven't been introduced to the US. It's after it's been licensed for US that fansub groups will scrap that project and continue on the the next unrelease/unlicensed series.

Some distributers do actually encourage it because they want the anime influence to spread and gain popularity...and that's only going to happen if people are watching it.

one of the programs within one of the nero packages will convert almost any format to dvd....just choose make DVD video (or similar) from smart start

Not saying they aren't providing a service that the content provider would like, but unless they have redistribution rights from the original producers, they are not allowed edit and redistribute it. This seems to be the case for most any western nation, but specific laws in specific areas open up many shades of gray. As for if downloading is illegal, I'm not too sure since it seems only the uploaders are at fault (hehe, be careful of bitorrent in that case).

And not to totally threadjack, when creating a DVD for viewing in a DVD player, is it limited by actual play time? Like an audio CD can only have 80 minutes, can a dvd only hold a certain amount of video play time or can you extend it with a lower quality feed?
