I've recently been working with this stuff......
I have some mpeg2 files that I want to convert to mpeg4....
I don't know if it's possible to convert mpeg2 to mpeg4 (divx) but using virtual dub I have been able to convert .avi to mpeg4....
However a 30min .avi is over 4 gigs in size and I get a Dub/IO video error in virtual dub and the very end of the 40min conversion process with this large file. When I test with a smaller 5 min .avi it works fine.
What I was wondering is ...... I know there is a 4gig file size limit in win 98.....But so far all I have seen is the fact that the file size can't be reported as being larger than 4gigs.....Does it actually cause a problem or a corruption problem with the file or data in the file....Does the file size limit cause any problems other than not being able to report the size correctly???
