AVerTV Stereo PCI TV Tuner @ Compusa 19.99 after rebates...

I wish someone would put a USB TV tuner on sale...it'd be cool to turn my laptop into a kitchen counter TV 🙂

put in your zip code to check local store availability... 4 of my closest 5 stores have it in stock, the 5th is Limited Avail.

any other confirmations on the video quality??

I bought this card a couple months ago. Since it is my first tv tuner card I think the quality is pretty good but most importantly it works under windows xp. I heard some of the cheaper cards dont work so well with xp. Beware of the rebates though. I sent 5 rebates that day and this one was the only one that I did not get the rebate. I waited after eight weeks as stated in the rebate form and called them. They told me that they never received the forms. When I asked if I could resubmit I was told that the period to submit the paperwork was past due. I find it odd that out of all the rebates that I have submitted this one was the only one never to be received. Save yourself the trouble and just buy the Leadtek card, which I hear good things about from Newegg.

Do yourself a favor don't buy any rebate product from CROOKUSA-unless it goes to rebateHQ.com or another know reputable sites-many are just a ripoff. This is specially true of their tuner cards. I have gotten screwed by CRAPUSA-I didn't listen to the advice of the others on this board.

Sleeping is correct. I will never buy anything from Compusa unless the rebate goes to rebateshq.com. At least with rebateshq I have a fighting chance of receiving the rebate. If the rebate for the PNY geforce4 ti4200 deal didnt use this rebate center I would never have bought the videocard at Compusa.

Apparently "limited stock available" means: We have two available, if you can magically find them in the store. Because they aren't on the shelf and salespeople certainly don't know where they are. More than likely, they just can't keep their inventory straight, but they want you to come into their store anyway.

By the way, the rebate wasn't advertised in the store, and for some reason, I can't get the online one to open. Anyone else having any problems?

I know they make them, I just wish they'd get cheaper! don't want to fork over $60-$80.

I bought this card a while ago.. it was ok until I decided to get in on the Leadtek XP2000 tv tuner card which blew this card out of the water in terms of quality.. The recording software is better than Leadteks but the picture quality on the leadtek is much better... Even @ $20 I would still recomment paying a little extra for the leadtek...

I purchased the Maxtor 100GB+20GB drive on March 19. The $40 rebate required that I purchase between March 15 and March 20.

Got a postcard last week saying the rebate was denied because it wasn't purchased within the required dates for the rebate.

Oh yeah...two other rebates were never received. They were mailed on the same day that a third rebate for $7 was mailed, and I got that rebate. So out of $107 in rebates, I got $7.
