Averatec laptops

Ok, I'm considering buying one of the 12" Averatec models, or one of the averatec laptops, and I was wondering how they are. How good are the built, are they sturdy, do they seem cheap, basically the pro's and con's about them. They seem pretty cheap, and for what I will be using it for it's seems prefect, I'm especially looking at this one:

I think I saw one one that had a 64mb video card in it. Anyways, any thoughts on this brand/type of laptop?

Those are well known to be the cheaper laptops. Under light to normal use, they may be fine. With laptops, you usually get what you pay for.

In this case you get a lot more than you pay for. My girlfriend has had a 3150 for over a year now and loves it. Only downside is that it's plastic, so when my cat bit it, it left toothmarks, ha! But you're not getting anything metal unless you buy a mac anyway. They're definately worth it!

Well, I took a look at the model that I wanted to buy (see link above) and for $699 AMR I don't think anything can beat it for it's size and specs. It is light, it is small, it is made out of plastic, lol, I just wish they had a model like that that had something more then a 32mb video card. But I guess it will have to do, unless someone knows of a 12.1" model that has more video ram.
