As long as the back plate from your DFI works, use that. The alternate way of installing it is a Pain in the ass.

Yeah not so sure though it weighs a bit so torqueing the board could be a issue :/

I take it you did not fit yours?

I had a zalman before, which requires you to remove the backplate. Some how I lost the backplate in my apartment...

Question:

What is the best heatsink for a x2 3800+ mounted in a DFI Lanparty UT SLI-DR? I don't want one that sounds like a vacuum cleaner :)

Thanks for the opinions...

Big Typhoon for the win. Silent as a whisper, best air cooling on the market.

hmmm, I wonder if I somehow damaged my CPU. Once I had it running @ 2650Mhz 1.55V, backed it down to 1.5 as it ran stable. I started to get errors when downloading stuff and accessing homepages. Then I turned it down to 2.4Ghz @ stock voltage but still get these errors occasionally. I guess I have to go back to stock speed to see if it still happens :(

1.33v sounds a bit low, even for stock..

Then why are you at 1.4 ? ( spec calls for 1.35 - 1.4 )

because I don't run at default voltage, actually I should remove it from my sig as I'm doing some testing atm since I've had some problems with my computer probably related to my o/c.
When I choose default my BIOS show 1.33V

wow this is retarded I lowered the ram to 333 and raised the cpu voltage to 1.45 and I get errors as soon as I start prime 95, what could the problem be?
