I've never even contemplated renting a laptop. Is there a particular reason you're looking to rent instead of purchase? Because frankly if you end up doing it long enough you'll have paid for a good portion of the laptop.

I've never contemplated it either.

I rented out a laptop to a client and am now figuring out how much to bill...

Probably would have been good to figure that out ahead of time.

Thank you, Captain Obvious! :p

This was a case of a frantic client needing a computer ASAP in order to maintain business continuity, so I reimaged one of mine, dropped it off, and set him up on it all within a matter of a few hours.

Charge accordingly.

Never undervalue yourself, your work, or your time. Even moreso as it was an emergency.
