AVCHD recommendations

Video card recommendation:

I almost have the green light to start my little side hobby. My first things were the cams and Premiere Pro CS4. I've almost completed my rig (3 in sig) and I need to get a new video card for editing that can handle quality playback. I was originally using the machine to game on, but since my Q9550 is running smoother with it's new mb, I'm taking the vid card from rig 3 to rig 1 and my AVCHD editing machine will just need a replacement video card.

What video card would you recommend?

Hard drive recommended setup:

For the drives. I have 1 300g 15K scsi, 1 1Tb FALS WD, an old 150g Raptor (might have bad sectors - not sure) I would also like to back up the projects and files. I was thinking of the F3 HD103SJs' for their excellent performance.

What would be the best way to run these drives?

Thank you (in advance)

Any video card that can handle H.264 acceleration will work, so I'd any Geforce 9 or Radeon HD 3000 and above. You could even go with older cards and it would still work.

cs4 can play avchd files smoothly after an update. no need to transcode those files anymore. i love it!!!

my ati 5750 had no problem playing back the files with media player classic. however, during editing in cs4, it was extremely jerky. it drove me nuts! i wasnt the only one. on the net, others had the same issue. with the latest update, premiere version 4.2.1, the problem went away.
