AVCHD compatible software?

Camera is a Lumix ZS which can also record video, need a program that can burn AVCHD to
DVD/CD and can stitch various segments together as well as edit unwanted footage.

For those who care, the camera works extremely well in both photo and video.

Sony Vegas is pretty good - it edits AVCHD natively. Alternatively, you could use a conversion app like VoltaicHD and then edit in whatever app you want (such as Windows Movie Maker + DVD Flick).

Sony Vegas now edits AVCHD natively? I thought only Adobe PP CS5 did?

Vegas does, although it's much slower than PP CS5.x.
