I would Love to be able to choose my own avatar from my own sources rather than from the list of "approved" avatars....please....
 
i don't mind a limited selection. i got used to the FT ones. the new selection is terrible, though. i'm hoping the list of imported FT avatars grows more than the current 17. bring back the old biker guy!!
 
Thanks for adding some of the "old" avatars. Could you please add the Bulldog? I'm all for change, but I was the Bulldog for a long time, it may be too hard for me to get used to...

We can only add the avatars we have the legal right to use. The avatars made by FT can not be used (which was probably around 2/3rds of them).
 
+1 for this request.

I think, before the switchover, (during beta period) if you wanted, you could link to a picture. Can we please bring that back ?

Fusetalk owned some of those avatars, so I guess AT can't keep using them now that the forum software changed over.

I seem to remember reading in the Welcome message for the new VB board that there would look to adding custom avatars when things settle down a little and to post suggestions for avatars in the Suggestion Box.

We've uploaded some smilies and avatars, but in the first couple weeks of being live we will take suggestions on avatar packs and such. Please place any suggestions you have for us in our Suggestion Box forum in the Forum Issues category.

I linked to some public-domain images that (shrunk and cropped) I thought could replace some of the old avatars in another thread. I found a great bulldog, but I couldn't find a biker guy.

P.S. Virge, how come you're the only one who gets to use the cow, while the rest of us can only have one? 🙄
