Avatar: The Game - some screenies and video [KT Approved :P]

Gameplay is pretty good. It's a 3rd person shooter, which is fine with me, but my one gripe is how far removed the player is from the center of the screen. I'd prefer a closer in over-the-shoulder view.

The game flows pretty naturally from one area to another. I also wish they'd integrate the map screen with the accomplishments screen, but the only things I have to complain about are pretty trivial.

I saw the movie yesterday in IMAX 3D and it was freakin fantastic! I was thinking of checking out the game too.

Anyone own this game and play it in 3D? Any good?

I made the pics and video I posted, duder; of course someone owns it and of course it's good. Read the thread 😛

The stereoscopy option looks really good, though I'll have to borrow some glasses to see the effect.

So the game has 3D built into it? I assume you need an Nvidia card to run it in 3D mode (or Stereoscopy mode)?

I'll check out the demo when I home later, thanks.

No, you don't need any specific manufacturer. Why would you need a specific manufacturer?

Ah, that's really cool then. For some reason I thought you needed a specific manufacture to run the 3D effects... isn't Nvidia working on some sort of 3D thing for their cards? And ATI went the Eyefinity route (more monitors, bigger view angles).

I need to get the demo before I make any more comments though. I had no idea there was a demo, and that it was in 3D.

Just played the demo. Pretty fun stuff and it looks very nice even on my crappy system.

If I can find it cheap I may pick it up.

Fairytales suck but this game provides as much or more inhumane, malicious, deceitful and treacherous acts than most any game I've seen to date. You can't help but admire the environment, death and overall take on an alien kind. The game is gorgeous on my AM3 setup; not to mention silky smooth .... the smooth is like cream in your coffee.

I've got this for PS3. It's fun and I appreciate the amount of back story included int Pandorapedia. One of the better movie to game experiences.

Game is actually pretty good minus the GD flying controls [maybe it's just me - but flying on the back of the bird is very frustrating and very unintuitive.]

Just be aware there is a 3 machine online activation limit on the Steam version. Not sure about the retail version.

Ya, the flight controls for both sides were freakin stupid. Good thing you don't have to fly much.
