Auxiliary Power for Graphics

This is my first build with a PCIe mobo (finally upgrading from Agp) so forgive me if this is a dumb question. But on the motherboard, I noticed there is a 4-pin molex adapter, next to the PCIe slot. to plug in from the power supply

pictured here (JATXPWR1)

The only mention in the manual says

"JATXPWR1: Auxiliary Power for Graphics
This connector is an auxiliary power connection for graphics cards. Exclusive
power for the graphics card provides better graphics performance."

and also mentions to use it with HYBRID CROSSFIREX.

So do I need to use this with a GTX 260, which already has two 4-pin PCIe connections?
