I think it's cool the Earth is tilted.
Life couldn't exist on Earth if it wasn't.

My disappointment is that the change to autumn happened very abruptly here last Friday. We went from 80 and sunny to 60 and rainy overnight.
A little sad because this was literally one of the best summers I can remember, weather-wise. Just beautiful. If this is global warming, I'll take some more please.

It's supposed to be 80 again this weekend.

When I got married on October 2 1992, it got up to around 90.

Explain pls

Without a summer to melt snow in the mid to high latitudes, substantial ice sheets would develop covering the majority of the surface (perhaps eventually all of the surface).

move to the tropics if it bothers you.

actually I am about to do that 🙂

where?

Hawaii still has 'seasons'
[sorta]

Yeah, winter is the 'season' when the calendar month ends in 'ember' or 'uary' and the palm trees have santa claus hung from them.

This is my favorite time of the year.

In November we return to the longer cruises in the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean. Those extra days go a long ways to get to know some very nice people just a little longer. 😉

The cold winds and snow/ice back in NYC can be a bitch though. :Q

I love Autumn, but yes.. the days getting shorter is quite depressing.

We are and have been losing 4-5 minutes of daylight per day..

'tis also the season in Hawaii to hit the Volcano slopes for some snowboarding action, grab your biggest gun for the waves and close the windows at night. 😛

a Springsuit is almost mandatory for thin-blooded Hawaiians in the 'winter'. 😛

Except for the part about drought.

What drought? We're above average for the water year. Remember the rainy winter/spring?
