Autoupdate in controlpanel is grayed out

I cant seem to select any option in my autoupdate (Control panel), coz it's grayed out. I'm not sure what happened does anyone have any idea how I can enable it again.

Make sure your Automatic update service is running under the Services panel.

Were you part of a Domain/Workgroup with SUS(Software Update Services) running on it?

It is running, but everything is still grayed out and I cannot select anything. I know it's updating my computer, because I have no criticial updates to install for a while now, even though many were put out recently.

I cant seem to think how it reach that state.

I am part of a novell network does that mean anything?

Go to the run command, type "gpedit.msc" (no quotes). Expand Administrative Templates, then Windows Components. If there is a folder called Windows Update, look in there. The folder might not be there if you aren't running SUS though.

You need to be in the administrator group to run the windows updates.
