autorun cd

i have an anatomy cd that autoruns when i put it in my drive. i want to be able to run the program from my hard drive instead. i've tried copying the entire cd over to a folder and run it, but it asks for my cd. is there a way to make it run from the hard drive only? thanks

There are two ways that I know of.
1- copy as you did and look for a "no-cd crack", but not only does it usually go against the stuff you ok, but a lot of those sites are virus infested (from what I've heard, not done myself because the risk is too great for me).

2- get a program like Farstone Game Drive ( I have this). It works with a lot of games out there so you install it once and don't need the cd again. Just check their website for the games that they do support.

Create an image of the CD first and save it to your hard drive. You can use Nero for that. If you do not have Nero, there may be free utilities that do it.

Then, download free Daemon tools for your OS and install.

Then, use Daemon to mount the image of the CD that you created. Now, the program thinks that you have the CD in the CD rom even though you don't.
