Autoplay

I just stuck a CD in my drive that I know would eventuallay play by itself. I waited about 3 minutes and nothing. So I tried again, this time waiting 5 minutes, still nothing. Now I have to click on My Computer and manually play the CD. I also did check that autoplay is enabled. Any Ideas where this functon may have gone?

there is an option in Administrative Tools somewhere (i'm on college comp so access is denied on everything so I can't check it for you) which enables or disables autoplay to be disabled. You need to enable it and disable it or something, I can't remember exactly. This is WinXP I'm talking about btw, dunno if this is the same on other systems

Click the Question Mark icon next to "Why doesn't Autoplay work?" The first link after that will refer to Line 234. What you do is click the link, then scroll down to line 234 (they're numbered) and run the fix).

Or, you can try the other fixes listed.

Okay, I ran the Autoplay fix and it reported that I had a problem with my settings and to repair it. That solved my problem.
