For repair find a forum dealing with your type of car. For the Service manual call the dealership and order a repair manual like the shop has.

Thanks for your suggestions Soybomb. However my attempts to locate forums on car repair prove to be futile. Not just looking for one on my car model.

And I did order manual that dealer uses from Helm, but its not specific enough to my exact model car.... and certainly not something I can use to go step by step.

Anyone else have any sites they know of?

Im looking for anything on car repair... something comparable to Anandtech is on computers.
Of course I know there isnt anything that comparable.. but as close to it as I can find.

The particular car I have that Im trying to locate a service manual on (that shows pictures and how to rebuild engine, transmission, etc..) is a 78 pontiac grand prix.
