Ok, here's the setup:

DFI Lanparty Ultra 400 rev. A
2x Geil GD 3200 256MB NOT dual channel
XP 2500 M
Vantec 420 stealth
decent air cooling (silent boost, case fans, blah blah blah)
hard drive
Samsung 3 1/4 floppy
CD drives n' stuff

Anyway, here's the deal: I have had it OCd to a FSB of 217 for most of last winter and a multiplier to put it up to 23-2400, decent temps and all. I run it at 100% usage 24/7 doing UD distributed computing stuff. Anyway, I was playing BF1942 one day and noticed it was running real wierd, like slow and jerky. For some reason, I clicked on My Computer and it was only running at 1.3 GHz! It hadn't been restarted in weeks, so I did and it went back to normal. It changed back soon though.

Anyway, I've found if the FSB is over 200 now, it boots with a multiplier of 6. It still runs normally, just now at FSB 200. Any ideas how it could even change while in windows, or why it won't boot up now with a FSB over 200 and a normal multiplier? I'd guess my mobo is crapping out, but why would the multiplier just drop to 6?
