automatic silent logon?

Hi, lets say I have a Windows 7 Server 2008 machine with 2 users. One person uses the computer all the time and the second person runs VPNs and periodically remote desktop. Is there a way to make windows log onto both accounts simultaneously during startup? Obviously the desktop will only go to one users and the other user's will be locked, but is this possible?

thanks

For the person physically using the desktop, this method for XP still works on 2008:

For the remote desktop, I think all you have to do is check the "save my password" or "save my credentials" box when you login the first time.

I haven't tried either of these with a domain though, so ymmv.

Yeah, i need windows to log both users in though, so the remote user's account is always totally active, running apps with its credentials and so on.

I think you're in uncharted territory. It brings up some questions that I can't test as my test server has crapped out on me:

1. What if you were to start a remote desktop session (or maybe use the terminal services command line stuff) locally to login to the second user's account while logged in as the first user?

2. Task scheduler will let you run tasks as a different user. What if you were to run the apps that you want running through task scheduler as the second user?
