Is there a shutdown program I can run that will turn off my computer in Win2k?

The reason I am asking is that I am running Motherboard Monitor and want a little utility that all I have to do is run to shut down. I don't want that program to have to be loaded in memory all the time. I just want an executable that MBM can run to shut down.

Thanks

have you tried using Windows Scripting Host to create a script that you can schedule to run when you want?

Well, whatever works. I have no idea how to do it with Windows Scripting host (never worked with it).

I just want someone to tell me how to do it!!!

Thanks for the info, Boones. I tried it, but I have one problem with it....

It does not power down the computer. I have ACPI installed and whenever I power down from Start/shutdown it does powerdown the computer.

But when I run the shutdown.exe from the NT4 resource kit, it does not power down.

Any one else have any suggestions? How could I do it with the Widows Scripting Host?

Thanks
