I want to put in an automatic chain-link gate. Has anyone dealt with any companies that provide these? I want something that will open up so I can drive into my driveway and then close behind me so I can let my doggy run...

I want the kind of gate that slides on rollers so I don't have to worry about it swinging out into the alley or into my car in the driveway... Google came back with some places, but it was hard to get decent price comparisons... Thanks-

I would consider doing it yourself. I've not done it, but I know people that have. It's just some welded pipe, chain link, and a motor, depending on how you want it to work/look...

You mean like those ones on appartments that always break (chain)? ;)

Yeah...basically. ;) I just want something that I can open/close easily without having to get out of my car....mainly for the rainy/cold days

Well, for what it's worth, make sure to get one w/o the chain. There are some that just feed a bar with grooves into a gearbox (sure there's a better way to explain this).

This is ATOT, the site where their dads have to scrape stickers off their windshields.

Just get out your Yellow Pages, look up Fences. Then call a couple places to get some quotes.

I built a swing gate and used the mighty mule gate opener. It swings, but I have enough room for that. It comes with a couple of remotes and retails for around $500
