Autoinsert notification .. how to disable ?

Running WinMe with a Toshibia 5X DVD. I can't remember how to disable this feature. Is it diffrent in Me ? Help !

not sure about ME, but in win98:

Start->Settings->Control Panel
System->Device Manager
Locate your drive
Properties->Settings

There should be a check box for auto-insert notification there.

Shouldn't be different. Control Panel/System/Device Manager/ Then expand CD-ROM highlight your DVD and click properties. Goto the settings tab and uncheck auto insert.

Ok, thanks. Looks like it was already unchecked. Wanted to see if that was why I was getting a BSOD after running HD Tach 2.61

At the HD Tach web site it says you need to uncheck this to avoid the BSOD. But it looks like running Windows Me is a diffrent story for this 2.61
