I have used uShip quite successfully a few times. You can predefine conditions (covered, not etc.). There will be shippers bidding on your post, pick the one you like and good to go. The whole site is built like ebay. The system of feedbacks is good to give you an idea about the potential shipper.
 
I've had family ship cars with DAS with pretty good results - you come to expect a nicks here & there from an open shipment

Apex : Intercity is snazzy! Had a friend ship his car (G35) coast-to-coast and saw a Lambo, Ferrari and Elise in the same container :shocked:
