Auto Restart

My computer suddenly restart when I was working on it. It happened very often , and I got a lot of problems because all data lost when my computer restart without time for me to save data.
Anyone have some ideas for my problem ? Thanks very much.

How long is your computer up before it just reboots? An hour? A day? 5 minutes? What are your system specs?

Check the event viewer, always a good place to start to see what errors popped up. Check to make sure the computer isn't set to auto-reboot when you get an error, so that you can see that lovely BSOD. Check out your temperatures, make sure your cpu and system aren't running too hot. Try running memtest to check your memory. Depending on the error, heck, it might by your video card.
