It takes two clicks to turn it off the one that dighn posted. If you're watching a page, you can have one of your browsers refresh ever 10 seconds or so and the one you're typing a reply to not refresh at all. I keep it turned off unless I'm watching an Ebay auction or AT FS/FT thread.

That doesn't happen if you just have one instance of IE refreshing while opening up links in a new window that doesn't refresh automatically. "It's manual to automatically refresh"

Yes, my other thread got locked down because I thought of a use for it that devalues the prestige of Lifer status.
That's why the most vehement protests come from Lifers...
