Greetings,

I've tried several howtos I've found online on the mentioned above however with no success.
I have a win11 install with 4 users.
I want to define one as default user for autologin on boot.
only one has passwd, the rest dont.
also I don't want to disable any of the other accounts.
any ideas how to do it?

Thanks

I do it through a run command. It's some shell command you run logged in as the user you want to auto login. The only thing that stands different is I'm a single user and not sure if it would work with multiuser.

if I understand you correctly, you run a script as the user you want to login?
if so, as I'm not that verse when it comes to windows, hows that script gets executed in the first place?
my intention is to boot windows inside a vm and prior to the boot, access the windows registry and change the default user
but as I don't get the expected behavior if I change the entries via regedit, I don't think it will work from outside change

Sysinternals utilities come from Microsoft.

I didn't test it.
