How do I turn auto insert notification on in XP? I think something turned it off and I can't find it now...also, anyone know of any firmware updates for the NEC dv-5700A DVD drive under XP? It's giving me some trouble and I found one last time I formated, but I can't find it again! Thanks in Advance.

Have you tried right-clicking on the drive and selecting Properties, and then choosing Autoplay? Hope this helps.
 
gpedit.msc > Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System
Disable "Turn off Autoplay"
