Auto-filling Adobe Forms?

Is there any way to have Adobe Reader forms automatically filled in with data that sits in an Excel spreadsheet? Trying to see if there is an easier way to fill out a large number of forms and avoid the chance of human error.
 
If it's not a secured form, you can use Acrobat Pro to change the field to a "calculated" field, and attach javascript to the field to pull it from whatever format works best.

As for what that javascript would look like, I've got no idea; I've used basic scripts (that other people have written) on fields but never anything like that.
