Auto Dialing From Host ICS PC

Hello.

I have 2 XP Pro systems networked with a crossover cable. The issue i have
is, if the client is up and running the host will dial my internet
connection. If the client is off this does not happen, so, the client seems
to be forcing the host to dial or the host seeing the active network
connection dials my ISP. In any case this is not what i would like. How
would i disable this??

Thanks

Easy in 2000, but probably the same in XP.

In the Network and Dial-UP connections control panel, right click and view the properties of your modem with ICS or internal WAN device (DSL/cable modem) or second NIC that goes to switch/hub/router. View the Sharing tab, deselect the option, "Enable on-demand dialing".
