hi guys,

i have a bunch of users in my exchange 2003 system pushing email to their PDA's. problem is that when they send email, the "from" is an alias, so it gets sent fine - BUT they can only see sent mail on my exchange server.

would it be possible to set some sort of auto-BCC option where users can also send all their emails to their other email accounts?

thanks all!

What sort of PDAs? I haven't seen a PDA/smartphone that didn't do sent mail sync in quite a while.

no no - it does sync. the pocket pc can see the sent mail, outlook web access can see it, exchange can see it. BUT, for e.g. if i have a gmail alias, i'd like to see the emails i send using my exchange server be auto-forwarded to my gmail account.

So you want to autoforward sent items to an outside email? I guess it could be done with a rule in Outlook, but I believe it would be client-side so outlook would always have to be running...not sure what would happen if you send from a mobile device.

i tried the rules... apparently outgoing emails rules only apply client-side when outlook is running; doesn't become a server-side rule, as you had said :(
