Authorities investigate LAPD beating of unarmed man

Yeah, saw this on the news. It looks pretty brutal; the officer's just swinging his Maglight and the guy twitches every time it comes down.

I just watched the video. The guy starts running, then realizes he can't escape, puts his arms up, get down on the ground when told to, then they tackle him and beat the sh!t out of him :Q

Asshole should haven't run from the cops in the first place, but DAMN that was a beatdown!!!

Hahaha. I hope those f'ing pigs get roasted by the media and the courts.

Note to self: Don't run from pissed off cops.

You shouldn't need a note to self to remember that. 😉

Apparently some people do.

But i don't consider you an idiot ThePresence. 😀

Ha, OK. I'll let you in on a little secret. I didn't actually make a note to myself. I was just sayin' it. 😛

GOOD!! Its only too bad that there was no camera around to get the officer in trouble. Its also too bad the officer didnt just shoot the guy dead.

Sure did. I'm just damned sick and tired of criminal rights. I'm tired of criminals period. He was a THEIF. He tired to RUN. He deserves no justice other then that which is dispensed from the business end of a gun IMO.

:disgust:

I don't want to justify their level of force, but most people can't understand the physiology that occurs in a high-speed chase. The adrenaline just keeps building and you get more & more pissed off at the guy that's endangering you & anyone around...then it just all comes out when he stops.

So you're saying the loss of self-control in a police officer is acceptable given the right circumstances?

I think the cops and the car theif should all be put in an oven.
Damn you. Laughed out loud at work.

Shame on NFS4 for pretending he had the video; we don't want to pay for that crap! Damn CNN indeed.

I didn't see it yet, but you know sometimes it's good for a criminal to get the sh*t beaten out of them. They should let him go now and say that it was his punishment.

I know that a lot of cops must get pissed of chasing some asshole who's stolen a car and has no regard for public safety speeding through neighborhoods. Then when he stops he continues to try and run like some dumbass.

Anyway, bad piggy!

No, I'm not saying it's acceptable. What I am saying that in situations like this where the "fight or flight" response kicks in, it can be extremely difficult to regain control--even with proper training.
