ausu p4c800e-deluxe with two wd740s in raid 0 any good?

well ya i got the asus p4c800e-deluxe windows xp sp2 n all. i was wondering is in fact the raid 0 setup with the ich5r is any good will i get a performance increase.cause i boutght two n i was wondering if its better to have them both in raid or in serparate drives please help before i return one or both lol ..actually ill keep one not sure if i need the raid n all .n yes i was looking all over the place for answrs most were for raid most were against..also i play mostly games n surfing n some dvd burning please help

Read A good article in October2004 Maximum PC magazine. (page 72) " The case against Raid " Basically if you're a gamer and want a speed increase by going Raid 0 you will be disappointed. It doesn't buy you any noticeable speed increase. A single highspeed (10K rpm) would be better. I personally prefer Raid 1 for the protection against a harddrive failure.
