is it just me or did a lot of the scenes seem extremely fake?
like the actors really stood out against the background, like the background was a painting or screen only a few feet behind them?

i liked the movie, but it really ruined the immersion. This seemed like a big budget movie but it it looked really low budget.

I'm almost with you. I thought the cinematography was great, but everything else was wretched. GF and I kept asking ourselves repeatedly why were still watching it. Guess we felt it HAD to get better at some point.

....nope.

did you ever provide a link in that other thread? I pretty much agree that this has to be the case, but would like to read more into it.

It's the only explanation that I can figure for why it was so bad from scrip level and upwards, yet they obviously had piles of $$$ to throw at it.

*goes to check other thread.

i thought it sucked. on top of that, i thought it ended when the cattle drive was done, and then they started the sequel. all of us watching it were like wtf??? they basically fit 2 different movies into one.

i agree that it was too long. it should have ended shortly after the cattle drive. after that was like a waste of time. otherwise i liked it.
