Did you honestly have to bump an 8 year old thread just because it happened to be about the Australian Open? I don't think anyone would have minded a new one...

Murray vs. Federer should be exciting though.

I did not realize it was an old threat until I posted in it. I just did a search for the Australian Open and this thread popped up.

Its gets the job done though.

Its weak that the women only play 3 sets. It would have been fun to watch them slug it out for more than 3, make 'em work for it.

They should make the williams play with men. They look like men.

Funny you say that, I'm looking at a Sports Illustrated SWIM SUIT edition right now with Serena in it. If this is what a man looks like I must be the gayest person ever. And what does that say about S.I. for putting a supposed man in their yearly swim suit issue.

please, Venus is whatever, but Serena's body is the furthest thing from a man you could possibly have. Unless you know men with DD tiddies and a huge ass.

I'm glad Serena won, haven't been able to stand Justine since her little incident at the French open awhile back against Serena. Was an absolute disgrace to the sport.

Otherwise I'm psyched for the men's final; rooting for Fed now that Cilic is out though -- don't particularly like Murray but I prefer him over Nadal..

And the people saying that the Williams' should be playing on the men's side are certainly joking -- to an extent. If not though I'm sure they've never heard of Amelie Mauresmo or even Lindsay Davenport for that matter. Even more, and I'm not playing a sexist card here, either of the twin's would get absolutely demolished on the men's side. The difference in quality is just ridiculous.

Serena doesn't have the cleanest track record either. I am stoked for Fed/Murray! I'm going to stay on the night shift just to watch it live. I hope Fed takes it a 5th set tie-breaker :D

Absolutely true. However, her bitching out a line judge and and losing the match for it is a bit different than Henin not manning up for her actions and likely changing the outcome of an entire match -- then getting the opponent booed for it.

I think this thread needs needs some photos in it:

Victoria Azarenka... was defeated by Serena in the Quarter Finals.

I hope Murray can make a game of it, but it looks like Federer is gonna breeze through to another Grand Slam title.
