Auria 32" 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV EQ3266e
$269.99 with free shipping

Usually only 720p around this price so 1080p is pretty decent deal. Little info about manufacturer. Biggest complaint on Newegg reviews are of dead pixels (usually just one). Maybe the panels are "seconds?"

EDIT: See post #23 for coupon code.

Wonder how this'd look as a monitor. Been using a lot of the Hanns-G/I-Inc 28" LCD's lately. Pretty bad DPI on the 32" I'm sure, but still...huge :awe:

Don't have the manual for this model on the manufacturers page. The same site says all sets have a 2 year warranty, (Newegg page says 12 months).
Also wondering how this would be for dual use, TV & PC.

Also, the specs say 2 HDMI in, but if you look at the picture, you can clearly see 3. That is a nice deal if the quality is good.

Well, after thinking about it... I ordered one. Wife made me a deal - I'll have to sell off one of my old LCDs (probably 19" NEC or 20" HP) so that there is a net gain of zero screens in the household.

I hope the screen is decent. Will be using it with an HTPC for next to my computer desk, so while the primary purpose is video playback, I hope it is also decent as a computer monitor.

Anyone else order this? I got a delivery attempt note on my door Friday. Should get mine tomorrow.

Eagerly waiting to hear what you think of it. Came close to ordering one.
Price up and back down to $270, but no more free shipping ($15 now to ship).

Got it in yesterday late afternoon. Only played with it for an hour, with the TV tuner and the VGA input + audio. It works fine so far. Will have to see if it can take a straight up HDMI input, or if it tries to scale it like most HDTVs. I haven't noticed any dead/stuck pixels, not that I looked hard. The plastic does look painted, as mentioned in a user review. It is rather thick so don't get this if you want a sexy slim LCD. Showed up without the stand installed, which takes the 5 included screws. Has mounting holes on back for wall mounting. It was shipped in the original box by Newegg so NOT double boxed. Nothing broke except for some of the foam pieces which did their job protecting the screen. Viewing angles are really good. Sound is mediocre, but this is really the first time I've used a screen's built-in speakers since forever ago, since I usually use real speakers and a receiver. The cable TV input was difficult to screw in because the cable has to make a slight bend. The channels didn't seem to pick up all that my Time Warner leased cable box gives, plus it numbered them different. I have more than just the basic package with Time Warner, so I'm guessing it probably picked up only the basic channels and not the extra stuff that my package gives. It was really slow in doing the initial channel scan. I basically had to walk away from it for a while - don't remember exactly how long, maybe 15-30 min. Yes, that slow. However, only have to do that once (I hope). Audio input is a 3.5mm stereo. VGA input looked great. Stand doesn't tilt, but does allow rotation a bit.

Nothing to add at this time. I have to find time to rebuild my secondary HTPC before I use it again. From what I remembered using the VGA input, image quality was the same as any other HDTV. Only strange thing was that the screen has a hint of glossiness.

My parents picked this up for one of the bedrooms, and it's definitely a very nice TV for the price. Pretty good image quality.

I had 3 high end 21" CRT's forever, but the last 1 finally died, other 2 died a couple years back.

Want to use this as a computer monitor.

How well does it work as a monitor???

Nice tv so far....OSD menus are very nice, build quality seems good, remote works satisfactorily so far. Really like the electronic program guide for the tv.. using ota hd, gives epg a few hours or more in advance if available. Running vga on my laptop as well, good image quality, as good as I'd expect for vga. Like Zap said earlier, I also have limited amount of time to mess with it but so far so good.

UPDATE: Returned the t.v. to Newegg today. The audio has a buzzing noise through the speakers that won't go away unless you mute the speakers. Newegg paid for the return shipping. Not sure if they will charge me a restocking fee.

Damnit $5 less than what I paid!

Ah well.

I've actually now put it in use in my computer room for watching videos. It is hooked up through VGA and the 3.5mm audio jack to a mini ITX system. Works great! Audio is a bit tinny compared to the bookshelf speakers and t-amp I was using before, but now I don't have two speaker boxes wedged behind the screen like before. I put some Ikea clamp on mini lights behind it for some pseudo bias lighting action.

Does this only have VGA hookup? Or does it have HDMI for PC? Also, do you have any dead pixels? BTW - What part of wisconny are you from?
