aureal vortex quad pci slow boot, drivers help.

ok name says it all i have a abit kt7a mobo and a aureal vortex soundcard.

when it boots it takes 2 minutes and under device manager i have yellow exclamation marks next to my sound card it is a pain to install how do i install this thing properly? its not the best drivers i have seen, anyone have these probs before? this is why i took this soubd card outta my old computer caused the same thing so i bought a livex gamer months ago....

I would suggest removing all of the sound devices from the device manager and removing the drivers unless they are the newest(2048's i think) ones available.Reinstall with the new drivers.If you still get any exclamation points in the device manager, try moving the sound card to a different slot and reinstall drivers again.
 
I've always had trouble installing a vortex over an uninstalled creative product. It seems the uninstaller does'nt clean the registry completely. Always had good luck with a fresh OS install.
