I'm a huge fan of A3D, but even I bought an SBLive Platinum. I just couldn't stand that out in the middle of nowhere not knowing if driver support would be there in the future feeling. Anyway, I've heard rumors that nVidia might buy them up...because they would then have a fallback in case something happened to the 3D Graphics Industry. But I like the idea of CL buying them...it would work out to both Aureal and CL's advantage.

Several rumors were circulating for quite some time about nVidia looking to enter into the sound card market, and perhaps offer a combo gfx/sound option for OEMs. If the rumors were true, which is one if, and if they don't have their own in house solution(number2), and if they are looking for either technology, engineers or simply the name(if3) then I could see them picking it up😉

I hope someone does, the A3D technology is great.

Not sure it'llhappen, at least according to the post an A3D employee made last week. Sorry, don't have any linkage for you, but he did say that nVidia basically grabbed nine of their engineers before anyone could make an offer for the whole company.
