No, it's pretty entirely unnoticed. I'm quite keyed into what happens in DC and without this thread I would not have given it a second thought.

I know you want to think that this matters, but it doesn't.

You got any specific facts to back up those claims? Or you just praying that it goes unnoticed?

Transparency is good. We will know House Republicans are sincere about transparency when they also pass a bill requiring disclosure of all political contributions and lobbying.

Damn, thats a good idea. Perhaps this can be part of a political compromise by the two parties by combining this with the DISCLOSE act.

It won't happen, but we can still dream...

The majority of Americans are for the Bill . If the senate doesn,t pass the bill. They are against the people! and it is election year . A year the FED is in deep do do. Any senator who votes against the bill will not be reseated. Lot obummer use his veto powers and the republicans will pass it just for that reason alone.

The majority of people are for transparency, not necessarily this bill. Most don't even grasp what the FED is, much less why an audit should be necessary.

I think you're projecting here. You desperately want it to be important even though it isn't.

As for facts, how would you like me to go about proving a negative? I haven't seen any mention of it in major news outlets, it's not being talked about in major venues, and I haven't heard of the vote being on TV much. I find it highly unlikely that the average American has any concept that a meaningless vote happened in the House on this.

Nobody gives a shit. It's Ron Paul, him failing at his job is simply so common that it is not newsworthy.

Funny, I seem to hear about it every day.

Mad? lol, what would I be mad about? You being a DC insider?

lol

You realize that 'keyed in' means 'pays close attention to', right? I pay close attention to what happens in DC because it's part of my job.

lol.

Children, does somebody need to flicker the lights on and off or count to ten? We're getting off track here.

If the repubs win the presidency and hold the house i can see them at that point supporting the DISCOSE act. It's very useful for whichever party has power . . .

what's with Reid and his obstructionism? why not let it go to a vote? are they that pressed for time in their day to day of circlejerking? is he afraid it might pass?

It's widely rumored that Reid gets his marching orders from above. He's put loyalty ahead of principle. He jumps only as high as he's told to jump.

Likely he considers bringing it up for debate and a vote is a complete waste of time of the Senate. I don't see this even making it to a simple majority threshold. There have been a lot of similar turds passing the House lately, and frankly, why should he polish them?

Reid is hardly an obstructionist compared to the other loonies in the Senate. The misuse of filibustering rules far outweighs other obstructionary tactics in the Senate.

The Senate Majority Leader works with the President of his same party to promote a common agenda?

SHOCKING.

"promote a common agenda" isn't quite what they're doing. they're effectivly silencing an opposing political party and by that silencing americans. . . . . . sickening how they put their own agenda in front of america

Oh my god, are you kidding me? So presumably you are similarly outraged when the Republicans filibuster the motion to proceed, effectively silencing an opposing political party and by that silencing Americans. I presume you are similarly sickened that they put their own agenda in front of America.

The party that controls the Senate has a lot of control over what happens in the Senate. This shouldn't be news to anyone. By the way in case you were wondering the party that controls the House has far more control over what is considered there. Are you outraged that Boehner is silencing Americans there as well?

They aren't going to bring up to vote a bill that would never pass anyway. I would suggest you save your outrage for things that actually matter.

Look, I'm going to put this into lamens terms for everybody to easily understand....

Both parties FUCKING SUCK A FAT COCK. Neither one really understands they are supposed to be doing what is best for this country. That is the job they were tasked with when so many people stood in a booth to vote for them. That lobbyist that is in their ear everyday has more voting power than your entire district.

If everyone who votes no for the thing gets removed from washington, it will eventually pass. That is the only way anything gets done.

You first have to show this shit bill has actually gotten noticed in the first place. Fact is, it's not being talked anywhere except as Ron Paul's last "swan song" before he exists Congress with not a single passed piece of legislation in his entire career.
