Nobody gives a shit. It's Ron Paul, him failing at his job is simply so common that it is not newsworthy.

You are simply projecting your conditioning. YOU dont give a shit that the banksters are stealing trillions and robbing the fuck out of you blind. But some people do care. You've been conditioned by the media which is owned by these frickin bankster bastards. You've been conditioned to think it isnt a big deal when its the biggest thing there is. Our frickin money, and how much tax we pay to these people. That's the #1 central issue of government, and these banksters got you so turned around and so controlled that you dont even resist their looting.

You, just like at least 100 million others, have been conditioned, in a very scientific way, to resist these real issues and focus on harmless bread and circus that they deem safe enough for your attention.

writing my Senators to get them to support it, but lord knows Boxer and Feinstein won't. Honestly I fucking hate Barbra Boxer, she's a wise and beautiful woman

Honestly, I fucking love Barbara Boxer, you're a douche.

Senators Boxer and John Ensign (R-NV) are the authors of the Invest in the USA Act. This legislation, which was signed into law in October 2004 as a small part of the more comprehensive American Jobs Creation Act, is intended to encourage American companies to bring overseas profits back to the United States, to create jobs in the U.S., and stimulate domestic economic growth.

Boxer successfully led the 2003 Senate floor battle to block oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.[33] In 2005, Boxer voted again to block oil drilling at ANWR.

Boxer maintains a strong stance in support of reproductive rights and the "pro-choice" movement. Boxer authored the Freedom of Choice Act of 2004 and participated in the floor fight for passage of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act.

Boxer supports the current system of Social Security, and opposed President George W. Bush's plan for partial privatization of Social Security.[40][41

After the September 11, 2001 attacks, Boxer authored a bill to protect commercial airliners against attacks by shoulder-fired missiles, and wrote the law allowing airline pilots with special training to carry guns in the cockpit.Boxer wrote the High-Tech Port Security Act, and sponsored the Chemical Security Act to address terrorist threats against chemical plants. Senator Boxer also cosponsored comprehensive rail security legislation.

raq War

In October 2002, Boxer voted against the joint resolution passed by the U.S. Congress to authorize the use of military force by the Bush Administration against Iraq.[42][43][44] In June 2005, Senators Boxer and Russ Feingold (D-WI) cosponsored Senate Resolution 171 calling for a timeframe for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq.

Surveillance

In June 2008 Boxer spoke in the Senate in opposition to the FISA Amendments Act of 2008,[47] a pending bill in the United States Congress to amend the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act,[48] and later broke with her counterpart Sen. Dianne Feinstein and voted against it.[49]

During the confirmation hearings for the United States Secretary of State nominee Condoleezza Rice in January 2005, Boxer challenged her to admit to alleged mistakes and false statements made by the Bush Administration in leading the United States into the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and ultimately voted against confirmation, along with twelve other senators.[51][52] The dissent was the highest vote against a Secretary of State nominee since 1825 when Henry Clay was so named.[53]

Boxer voted against John Bolton's nomination for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and filibustered him on the Senate floor. As a result of the strong Democratic opposition Bolton could not obtain Senate approval. However, President Bush bypassed the Senate by employing the constitutional right of recess appointment, only the second time such an appointment has been used for a United States ambassador to the United Nations since the UN's founding in 1945. Recess appointments themselves have been used numerous times by various presidents.

Boxer voted against the confirmation of Chief Justice of the United States nominee John Roberts, and against the confirmation of Associate Justice nominee Samuel Alito.[54][55]

Oh my god, are you kidding me? So presumably you are similarly outraged when the Republicans filibuster the motion to proceed, effectively silencing an opposing political party and by that silencing Americans. I presume you are similarly sickened that they put their own agenda in front of America.

The party that controls the Senate has a lot of control over what happens in the Senate. This shouldn't be news to anyone. By the way in case you were wondering the party that controls the House has far more control over what is considered there. Are you outraged that Boehner is silencing Americans there as well?

They aren't going to bring up to vote a bill that would never pass anyway. I would suggest you save your outrage for things that actually matter.

Honestly I'm getting sick of it in both houses. It has to go both ways though. As i've said in other posts, "the pledge" is appalingly boneheaded and obtuse.

Quoted for absolute truth. The sick thing is many of these people lost half their retirement or all of their pensions due to those bankers who control our government.

Boxer is a fucking dumb bitch, if you had chosen to promote Feinstein you might have some nod from me, but not Boxer. She's in the same vein as Pelosi, part of the East Coast elitests who have been trying to hijack CA Politics.

Seriously Boxer has done such a great job a website is dedicated to her, http://www.failedsenator.com/

mrs "nobody should have a gun but me"? hah!

or a career plagued with ties to corruption or corruption claims being brought up against her. Woman is a sleazeball a little bit worse than the rest of them. She keeps her head to far up her ass to have any idea of what the world is like around her.

I'm fine with it in both. If the people running the chamber brought up everything the minority wanted, they would just use it to grind the chamber to a halt. No good for anyone.

I have a problem with the filibuster because it prevents legislation that likely would pass from being considered, which is truly thwarting the will of the people. Not bringing up bills that have no chance of passing? not so much.

well, that is if the people in congress actually vote the way their constituents desire as opposed to being corporate puppets and the DNC/RNC! i'm not saying bring up everything the minority party wants, but he basically has a policy that if it was introduced by an (R) it doesn't get heard. partisan hackery!

What do you mean no chance? It had huge favor from the House, obviously they should consider it no? More political posturing and abusing the system imo. You're simply A-OK with it because you "don't care" about the issue and it's something your side doesn't want done because their enemies do. Yawn, you're getting super boring and predictable. It's sad cause you're a rather smart person too(smarter than I).

Come on man, they both do this bullshit. It's just a giant clusterfuck up there and, as I've said before, it reminds of Isreal v Islam in the middle east.

I think you're projecting here. You desperately want it to be important even though it isn't.

As for facts, how would you like me to go about proving a negative? I haven't seen any mention of it in major news outlets, it's not being talked about in major venues, and I haven't heard of the vote being on TV much. I find it highly unlikely that the average American has any concept that a meaningless vote happened in the House on this.

Nobody gives a shit. It's Ron Paul, him failing at his job is simply so common that it is not newsworthy.

1 trillion dollars unaccounted for from last little audit . Sure thats peanuts to you but to America thats a great deal of missing debt we owe to who?

Look, I'm going to put this into lamens terms for everybody to easily understand....

Both parties FUCKING SUCK A FAT COCK. Neither one really understands they are supposed to be doing what is best for this country. That is the job they were tasked with when so many people stood in a booth to vote for them. That lobbyist that is in their ear everyday has more voting power than your entire district.

I didn't get that . But I sure that eskimospy got the meat of it,

Since when has the Democrats cared what the people wanted? The majority of the people were against Obamacare and that didn't stop them.

There you go we have a representative government for the people and they do not represent or pass laws the people as a MAJORITY want. That is treason in my book and all should be hung who do not follow the will of the people
