I bought the refurb SMT5600 that you guys are talking about a week and a half ago and when I received it it was an ATT phone and asks for an unlock code. Cingular filled out a form for the code and are suppose to get back to by Monday but no word yet. They said they have to get the code from the manufacturer but I am not sure if I will even get the code. Anybody else buy this phone and have this problem? If so let me know how it turned out or turns out because I really want to use this phone. Thanks

I went ahead and ordered this phone after Cingular would do nothing for me, even though I was out of my contract and my wife has been with them for over 10 years. The only problem I have had with the referb, is not with the phone but with Cingular. They deactivated my old phone 3 days before I got the new one, and when I called them, they told me there was nothing that could be done because the SIM had already been entered into their system.

I have been happy with the phone. It's a tad smaller than my Nokias that I have had in the past, and even without a data plan, I think I have made a good choice.

Well, I'm off to eBay to try and find a deal on a miniSD card.
