Anyway, if you only do Mono and nothing else, it is better. The notes still don't have a whole lot to do with the song, unless it has a REALLY strong beat, but even then, the game is only very weakly linked to the speed of the song and doesn't have much to do with the rhythm at all. It's just faster when the song is faster and slower when the song is slower.

some songs work better than others. i thought this one started out pretty on cue, but it does get a little off track later.
