I was never really a Soundgarden fan...had some decent songs I liked but just couldn't get into them.

Rage...well, once you'd heard 3 songs of theirs, you'd heard everything they had done.

I like em all. Bands break up, at least some good came out of these two breakups.

Audioslave kicks ass though. I saw em in concert in philly, it was an amazing show

I like Soundgarden, but they were never really quite my thing. I love Rage, though, and was sad to see them go, but I think Audioslave has filled the gap nicely. I like them better than I do Soundgarden and about the same as Rage.

well soundgarden was, but rage i didn't listen to much. The audioslave CD is a very worthy purchase though and the first cd I've purchased in fully a year. At the time of its release I felt comfortable calling superunknown one of the best albums ever :)

What is that album's name?
Euphoria Morning.

Not on that album but CC - Sunshower, from the Great Expectations soundtrack is a truly sweet song.

Euphoria Morning -- songs include "Can't Change Me", "Preaching the End of the World", "Follow My Way", "Wave Goodbye". It's a very consistent album, with a more melodic and soulful feel than most of the Soundgarden songs.

i like audioslave

alot

i didn't like soundgarden as much

i don't think audioslave is using tom morello enough. he's a much better guitar album than their album makes him out to be. hearing them at lollapalooza however, he's putting some of his rage-esque guitaring into their music which is great.

overall i think audioslave is good but they have the potential to be much better.

I dont really listen to much Sound Garden, but all i can say is that Audioslave cannot touch Rage Against the Machine. Rage is and always will be the superior band.

Man, I thought I was the only one who loved that album. It gets tons of play on my iPod. Not a song on there I don't like. An album is always somehow better when an artist steps outside there usual sound imo. I really wish he would have released another solo disc.

Anyway, back to Audioslave some of it is alright but in the end, they're not 1/10th as good as Soundgarden was. I miss Soundgarden :(

I think that all 3 bands fit their appropriate time...Soundgarden was awesome, as was RATM, but Audioslave is really good too. I don't tire of their album, and I"m more than happy that members of 2 of the biggest groups in rock came together to form it rather than doing who-knows-what-else.
