Now if I could only make up my mind on what to get.

I've narrowed it down to basically grados 80-325
and the Sennheiser 580's and 590's.

Man it sucks when you have no good music stores around, to try these things out.

For those of you thinking about making the leap into quality headphones
I think that this Link is a good one just for a real quick idea of things

You know youre an audiophile when you can recognize the smell of new equipment :-]
If you're looking for a headphone amp for those 580's, I suggest the Musical Fidelity X-Cans. It's a tube amp, about $250, and sounds great!

Yes, I agree....but I'm not complaining. After getting some nice equipment, I'm never looking back. And I still have an Adire Tempest and PE 250W plate amp sitting in the living room, waiting to be built into a sonosub.

that's exactly what i'm looking to get.. after i get a few other things. the Divas have good bass for music, and that's all I do with my setup right now. :) tell me how it goes.. i really want to make my own sonosub, except i'm not that good with woodworking yet.

I tried some other headphone amps that sounded better, but the x-cans are really special. they've got a unique sound that quite addicting.
EDIT: They matched up incredibly well with my HD-600's
I wouldnt recommend the upgrade to the 600's from the 580's unless you get a really good deal (which i did).
