Cables are inert. Thus if a signal is dirty, they pass it on. If a cable is cleaning up dirty signal [sic] then it is defective. Cables used in environments with lots of EMI or electromagnetic interference, OTOH certainly could benefit from better shielding. Of course there are no free rides nor magic cure alls despite what the salesforce of the snakeoil may bring upon you.
