Weird.. On my 30GB drive, which I did a fresh format and re-install last week, theres no trace of the dll after downloading AudioGalaxy.. On my 60GB which I didn't format (basically replaced with the 30GB, but has all my data), I found the dll.. and I downloaded AudioGalaxy on that a few months ago.. Maybe they have changed it?

Any of you ever hear of eScorcher?

My friend was surfing StickDeath.com last night and an app called eScorcher started installing on my f*cking computer. I asked him what the hell he clicked on. He said he didn't do anything. I believed him. He was just sitting there waiting for one of the SD.com flash videos to finish loading and the f*cking app starts installing on its own!

The stupid thing put itself in my programs list and even put entries in the registry. Goddamit, I was pissed. There's an eScorcher.com that claims that its anti-virus software. Whether the software is legitimate or not is no the point. It installed itself without anybody's consent. Heads will roll. :| :|

Software firewalls are useless for detecting outgoing connections. You can program a dll to hook to any process running in the computer and the firewall won't detect that. After hooking to the program you can send all the data you want.

One thing to note about Morpheus is that it run a web server on your machine when you are using it. You can even browse directly to the page and download files straight from a computer running Morpheus (without them knowing anything about it). :(
