For those who are into car audio/silent computers this stuff works pretty well when applied correctly.

www.b-quiet.com

They are offering 18ft squared for the price of 9ft squared, and when you order with PayPal you get an additional 10% off.

This stuff is great to coat the insides of inexpensive loudspeakers. Thanks, this is an excellent price!

if you order multiples of the $1.00 samples (4" squares) you can get it for cheaper than a whole roll
the only prob is that they're all seperate pieces most likely
if mounting inside a computer case, these 4" squares might be perfect

correct me if i'm wrong
square root of 18ft (current special right now) = 4.24 ft (this is the width and length)
convert to inches = 4.24 * 12 = 50.9 inches
divide by 4" squares = 50.9/4 = 12.725, so 13 pieces of the samples would equal that 18 square foot roll but half the price

just a thought, i dont see a limit on the sample orders
put my order in for six :)

My computation comes up a bit different...

4 x 4 inch sample (16 sq inches)for $1 = .0625 cents/sq. inch
18 sq ft x 144 sq inches per sq ft = 2592 sq inches for $22.49 = 0.008676698 cents/sq. ft

Or another way....it takes 9 of those 4 x 4 samples to equal square foot or $9 a square foot.
18 square ft for $22.49 = $1.25 a square ft.

darwinyo, you came up with the computation for a rectangular strip that is 4" X 50.9" in size, not a square that is 50.9" X 50.9". You would need 13^2=169 of the samples to get 18 feet^2.

This is a lot of math and stuff. :) Hell, I'll just get the big 18sq feet and call it good. ;) I tried to figure out how much stuff I would need, but it was hurting my head. And to think when I was in high school I used to be a math and science tutor. :) If anyone wants to do the math here's my case's info:

16.5" X 15.75"
16.6" x 12.75"
16.5" x 8.5"
