audio question:

ok, i have figured out how to hookup the video card to my tv with s-video (duh!)..now i can't figure out the audio...

Do i just buy some male to male cables and hook them up like the s-video? does anyone know the type of cable that is on the soundblaster live output and the tv-input? My soundblaster live output cables are like those on headphones...but i can't figure out the type on my tv...the plugs are thinner and shorter than my headphone cables

Go to Radio Shack, get a STEREO 1/8" male miniplug to 2-RCA male adapter. You should be able to figure it out from there.

but i wont be going to radioshack, i made the mistake of buying a $15 6' goldplated s-video cable when i could of gotten a 10' one for $.69

Yep, that should do it. I think the same thing is like $4.99 at "the Shack", which might be cheaper than $1.50 plus shipping.

edit: and I think you already figured out that this stuff doesn't need to be gold plated!
