I have an Xbox One, cable box, Fire Tv, Yamaha htr-5890 receiver and a 65" Samsung smart tv. The Yamaha doesnt have hdmi inputs so i have been send the video from my Xbox to my tv and using optical out on my Xbox to my receiver. I recently hooked my fire TV to the hdmi input on my Xbox and have been noticing audio sync issues. I do not know if it is because a setting on the One of how I have the optical cable and video separate.
My tv only has two hdmi inputs and the cable box is using one and the Xbox on the other. Would me running the audio through hdmi to the tv via all devices and using the optical out from the tv be a better solution? Any downside to this?
